getting to Wrocław
The last week of October, for students from 8 schools was held under the topic of intercultural education and preparing local initatives connected to Global Education Week. The project “This is your world as well” was organised in cooperation with Polish UNESCO Committee already for the 11th time. During four days spent with our trainers, high-school students could get to know what is stereotype, prejudice and discrimination. They could become stragers surrounded with unfamiliar culture, get in the shoes of those who cannot benefit from all the privileges in the society or get to know how culture is similiar to iceberg. What is more, they could see movies such as Butterfly Circus or Blue-eyed to see how people behave toward those who are in unfavourable position. Moreover, the participants got to know what is the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and create an imaginary country in which they would implement their laws. However, all the workshops conducted by our team were not only aimed at showing the youth different perspective, but also to show them methods which they can use in their schools to make workshops for their peers. Thanks to project management module the participants were prepared not only methodologically bust also administratively to manage the Global Education Week. How did they do with the local workshops? Check it out soon on our website!
